Our mission, our vision, and the team bringing it to life
BRICS was founded in 2009 as a powerful grouping of emerging-market economies. The BRICS Business, Sport & Culture Festival uses sport and culture to promote peace, security, development and cooperation among BRICS countries — and to grow sport and culture across the BRICS nations.
We want to develop sport and culture with non-BRICS countries, especially African countries. Funds generated during this event will go toward developing youth sport, fighting drug abuse and youth unemployment, and helping flood victims in KwaZulu-Natal — while exchanging coaching experience and growing youth sport and culture.
BRICS’s aims and objectives are to promote peace, security, development and cooperation. The BRICS Business, Sport & Culture Festival uses sport as the vehicle to achieve these goals across the BRICS countries.
The BRICS Business, Sports and Culture Festival is organised by a highly experienced team of experts across sport, arts, entertainment and communications — led by Dr Musa Mdluli.
